Glumm & Co
The living room at dusk, glass open to the palms and the blue hour

A Glumm Home — Coconut Grove

Evenings that belong to the water.

A waterfront residence in Coconut Grove.

A home like this doesn’t compete with the view. It hands the evening over to it.

By late afternoon the light goes gold, then blue.

The glass doors are open more often than not.

Someone pours a drink; the palms move; the water goes quiet.

You put the phone down.

The whole house leans toward the horizon, and so do you.

The daytime living room — white sectional beneath a wall of star-field paintings

Daylight

A room under a private sky

By day the art takes over — a wall of distant galaxies above a low white sea of cushions. Light moves across the floor in slow arcs. You could read here for an hour and never feel it pass.

The floating stone-and-steel stair against full-height glass to the garden

Light finds its way to every floor

The primary suite — a quilted cream bed, a low striped lounge by the window

Rest

Soft mornings, quilted and calm

The suite keeps to a hush — cream on cream, a sheepskin within reach, a low seat by the window for the coffee no one wants to rush. The hallway light arrives before you do.

The long stone pool with submerged stepping-stones, framed by tropical green

The afternoon spent at the water’s edge

Luxury was never the price of the things. It was the thought behind them.

Luisa’s Edit

The pieces that shape these rooms

Chosen for the light they live in.

The bouclé modular seating

No front, no back — pull it toward the glass, turn it to the room. Comfort that follows the evening wherever it goes.

The petal pendant lights

They bloom overhead like something folded from paper. Warm, low, and quietly theatrical once the sky turns.

The brushed-steel cocktail tables

Cool metal against soft wool. They catch the last of the light and hand it back to the room.

The glass drum side table

Nearly not there at all. Somewhere to set a glass without interrupting the view.

The striped low lounge

The seat by the window everyone drifts to. Low, forgiving, made for long mornings that don’t need anywhere to be.

The sheepskin cushion

The one soft thing the hand reaches for first. Warmth you feel before you see it.

Each piece is being sourced and noted.

Leave your email and Luisa will write to you the day this edit opens — where each piece comes from, what it costs, and what she would choose instead. One note. Nothing else.

What this project taught us

  1. 01A view deserves to be the loudest thing in the room.
  2. 02Design for dusk, not only daylight.
  3. 03Restraint lets the water do the talking.
